We made a fuel stop in Barstow(3.77/gal diesel) and off to Hwy 127 out of Baker. Once there we bough a couple of lotto ticket.

It's good to have a tri-pod,this is the start of Harry Wade Road. This was a new way into Death Valley for us.

The turn off to Saratoga Springs is about 6 miles in from Hwy 127.
This dirt road had a lot of wash boarding on it.
We stopped here, formy wife heard something fall inside the camper. As it turned out several items had fallen due to the wash boarding of the road.

Texas Spring wasn't open till Oct. 15,we settled in at Furnace Creek. I bar-be-que chicken that evening and enjoyed the great sunset.
